Generation 5 (F2P)
| Front | Back |
|---|---|
| Sergey or Flint (min. 4β ) + Hector | Molly + Lynn + Alonso |
πThe fifth generation brings free-to-play players a long-awaited new tank β Hector (a legendary Gen5 Infantry hero). Thanks to the Lucky Wheel event, many F2P players can unlock Hector and develop him to 3-4β , making him an excellent replacement for (or partner to) the long-serving Sergey.
The front line should feature Hector and your best-developed existing tank β if Flint has reached 4β +, he can replace Sergey as Hector’s partner; otherwise, we continue to rely on the dependable Sergey.
This front-line duo (Hector + Sergey/Flint) guarantees maximum survivability and good damage at the start of the battle.
The Gen5 F2P back line focuses on control and support. Molly remains essential β her ability to freeze entire groups of enemies can be a lifesaver against the enemy’s powerful new DPS dealers (such as Gwen on whale teams).
Lynn reaches her full potential: at 4-5β , she can keep our team alive by blocking all enemy stuns, freezes, and taunts, while also drastically reducing their healing. Alonso is still indispensable β even as generations pass, his combination of AoE damage and constant stuns gives Hector and the rest of the team time to deal damage freely. It is worth noting that some free-to-play players at this stage consider investing in new Gen5 Marksmen (such as Gwen or Norah), but limited resources usually mean they can choose only one main hero from the new generations.
Since Hector significantly strengthens the front line and Lynn protects the team from control effects, F2P players prioritize these two. The result is a very durable formation that is βannoyingβ for opponents β a Gen5 F2P team will not deal extremely high damage, but it can neutralize the enemy’s strengths and survive long enough to win through endurance.
Generation 5 (Whales)
| Front | Back |
|---|---|
| Hector + Ahmose | Gwen + Norah + Reina |
πFor paying players, the fifth generation is another step forward and another replacement of most of the lineup. Hector immediately takes a place on the front line β as the newest legendary Infantry hero, his stats surpass those of Jeronimo or Ahmose (although many players upgrade him βonlyβ to 4β , even then he outperforms older tanks in durability). He is usually joined by Ahmose (Gen4), giving the team two tough Infantry heroes at the front.
Some players consider keeping Reina at the front instead of Ahmose, but despite her excellent damage, Reina usually ends up in the back, making room for two Infantry heroes with greater survivability.
The Gen5 whale back line consists mainly of new heroes. Gwen (a legendary Gen5 Marksman) is an absolute beast in the Arena β she has enormous critical damage and can quickly eliminate key enemy targets.
Alongside her is Norah (a legendary Gen5 Lancer) β although she falls short of Gwen in raw DPS, Norah stands out for her versatility: she excels as a defender (her skills make our team harder to break through) while also supporting the attack during expeditions.
Reina (Gen4) remains in the lineup as the fifth hero because of her high AoE damage and usefulness across different modes β despite the arrival of new characters, she still provides significant value, especially when Gwen and Norah focus on single targets. This formation β Hector, Ahmose, Gwen, Norah, Reina β has virtually no weaknesses.
It has two of the toughest tanks from the available generations, an overwhelming amount of physical damage, and an element of control/defense (Norah). Of course, some whales replace Reina with another character to maximize DPS (for example, Mia is sometimes used in specific situations), but in standard Arena battles, this lineup dominates Gen5, crushing rivals with superior stats and synergy.
It is safe to say that investing in Gen5 heroes pays off handsomely β whales with a team like this are virtually unmatched on the fifth-generation battlefield.
