Best Generation 4 Lineup (F2P)

FrontBack
Flint + SergeyMolly + Alonso + Lynn!

👉The fourth generation gives free-to-play players access to their first new support hero – Lynn (a legendary Gen4 Lancer). Lynn is invaluable because she reduces enemy healing and gives our team immunity to CC effects (crowd control), protecting them from stuns, freezes, and similar effects. This means that as soon as Lynn arrives, you should add her to the lineup in place of Gina/Jasser – losing some damage is nothing compared to the bonuses Lynn provides.

Sergey and Flint, the F2P veterans, still hold the front line. As a 5★ Infantry hero, Sergey remains the team’s shield, while Flint at 5★ (achievable for F2P players by Gen4) matches his durability and deals solid damage with fiery attacks (his attacks can inflict burn, which is ideal for melting even tough targets). Molly and Alonso still occupy the back line: the freeze + crowd control duo remains effective even against the opponent’s newer heroes. With Lynn joining the team, the Gen4 F2P lineup becomes much more resistant to enemy control strategies.

This formation does deal slightly less damage (with no second Marksman like Gina), but the team’s increased safety allows it to survive the toughest moments and win longer fights. Many F2P players in Gen4 also invest resources saved from Gen3: for example, by unlocking Greg through the Hall of Heroes or upgrading Mia (which I personally consider the better option). However, the core remains the free quartet of Sergey, Flint, Molly, and Alonso, supported by the newly arrived Lynn.

Best Generation 4 Lineup (Whales)

FrontBack
Reina + AhmoseAlonso + Lynn + Greg

👉The fourth generation brings an almost complete replacement of heroes in paying players’ lineups. The Gen4 meta calls for new legendary heroes – even heroes as powerful as Jeronimo or Natalia make way for newer generations with higher base stats. Reina (a legendary Gen4 Lancer) and Ahmose (a legendary Gen4 Infantry hero) now form the front line.

Reina excels at initiating attacks: she deals heavy area damage and supports the team’s offense (many players value her usefulness in Bear Trap and city attacks well into later generations).

Ahmose, in turn, is a tough Infantry hero from Gen4 – he has powerful skills (such as a curse that weakens enemies) that make him both an excellent tank and a source of damage. There are new additions to the back line as well: Lynn joins the Whales lineup (providing CC immunity and reducing enemy healing, which matters even for P2W players), while Alonso – despite being a Gen2 hero – still keeps his spot thanks to his irreplaceable crowd control abilities and decent area damage.

The final member is Greg (a Gen3 Marksman), usually added in the previous generation, who now reaches his full potential as the main ranged DPS. As a result, the Gen4 Whales lineup looks impressive: all five characters are legendary heroes with synergistic skills. The front-line duo of Reina+Ahmose ensures survival, Greg deals massive damage with support from Lynn’s buffs, and Alonso and Lynn work together to prevent enemies from using their skills effectively.

This team dominates the Arena in Gen4, although it comes at a very high cost (requiring you to obtain four new legendary heroes in a short time).

At this stage of the game, differences in heroes’ skills and stats start to matter enormously. Before you settle on a particular formation, check out our Arena guide, where we explain how to choose roles, position your team, and avoid the most common player mistakes.
