Description
Wu Ming is a Generation 6 Legendary Infantry hero who combines a short invulnerability window with temporary personal buffs and carefully divided troop bonuses. The wandering martial artist’s story is about learning to protect others rather than chasing a reputation as the strongest fighter. His role as both defender and teacher fits a kit that supports Infantry survival while also improving friendly troop damage.
Short defensive windows, not permanent immunity
Cyclone Barrier combines Attack-scaled area damage with two seconds of invulnerability for Wu Ming. This is a personal effect; the description does not grant the whole lineup the same immunity.
Inner Clarity increases his Attack and Defense for four seconds, with different values for each attribute. At skill level 5, those bonuses are 24% Attack and 48% Defense. The Defense increase should not be read as 48% less incoming damage, and its duration should not be confused with Cyclone Barrier’s two-second window.
Remote Impact deals Attack-scaled damage to a random enemy with every normal attack. It links an additional source of pressure to his continued participation in combat without guaranteeing that the same enemy receives every hit.
Editorial recommendation: watch whether Cyclone Barrier’s timing helps him weather the enemy’s strongest pressure and whether he remains active long enough to contribute repeated Remote Impact hits. Compare this pattern with Hector, whose personal bonuses depend on low Health. They should be judged through their actual conditions, not treated as interchangeable Infantry upgrades.
Shadow’s Evasion protects Infantry specifically
In Expedition, Shadow’s Evasion reduces the damage Infantry takes from normal attacks and from skills by separate amounts. At skill level 5 the reductions are 25% against normal attacks and 30% against skills. The skill name is not a dodge-chance mechanic, and neither reduction is described as applying to every troop class.
| Offensive Expedition skill | Affected group | Effect at skill level 5 |
|---|---|---|
| Crescent Uplift | All friendly troops | 20% more damage dealt |
| Elemental Resonance | All friendly troops | 25% more skill damage dealt |
Elemental Resonance is narrower than a universal attack bonus: it concerns troop skill damage. Combining its value with Crescent Uplift and calling the result a guaranteed 45% bonus to every attack would overstate what the descriptions establish.
For a squad joining a rally, Shadow’s Evasion is the first Expedition skill eligible for a selected support slot when Wu Ming is the flagged lead hero. His two offensive skills should not be assumed to transfer with it. A rally captain’s own hero squad supplies its broader Expedition skill set, so the joining and leadership roles require different comparisons.
Dragonslayer
Martial Zenith increases Wu Ming’s own damage dealt by 30% at skill level 5 in hero battles. This is separate from his temporary Attack boost and from the troop skills in Expedition.
Steel Discipline increases defending troops’ Defense by 15% at skill level 5. It is a defender bonus, not an additional direct damage-reduction percentage. Dragonslayer’s reference stat bonuses are listed below the regular skills rather than added into the hero panel.
Acquisition and reference values
Hall of Heroes is his listed acquisition route. Check the active rewards in your state before planning the investment. Recruitment costs 10 shards and the five promotion stages require another 1,065, for 1,075 from locked to five stars.
The displayed Infantry Attack and Defense are 540.43% each. Hero and weapon stats are reference figures. Compare your available skill levels and equipment, especially when choosing between a developed older Infantry hero and an unfinished Wu Ming.
