Description
Renee is a Generation 6 Legendary Lancer built around confusion and two distinct marking systems. The performer in Mia’s caravan was once a researcher in Arcadia. Her colorful stage persona and nightmare-themed combat make an unusual combination, but reading the kit is straightforward once Star Marks and Dream Marks are kept separate.
Star Marks belong to hero battles
Illusion Cloud deals area damage and confuses enemies for one second. Confused enemies attack nearby targets without distinguishing friend from foe. This differs from a stun: it disrupts whom they attack rather than simply describing an inability to act.
Starpaint damages its targets and applies a Star Mark that increases their damage taken for four seconds. The level-5 values are 70% of Renee’s Attack as damage and a 6% damage-taken increase.
Dream Vision supports that marking pattern. While Star Marks are present, Renee gains Attack and deals more damage to marked targets. At level 5, the listed values are 24% Attack and 12% more damage against those targets. The marked-target condition should not be erased when comparing her with another hero.
Editorial recommendation: in Arena or Exploration, watch when marks appear and whether Renee is able to capitalize on them. Also observe how confusion changes enemy targeting. One second of confusion is not a guaranteed team-wide stun or a fixed amount of friendly-fire damage.
Dream Marks belong to Expedition
| Skill | Role in the Dream Mark cycle | Level-5 value |
|---|---|---|
| Nightmare Trace | Lancers place Dream Marks every two turns; a mark lasts one turn and deals extra Lancer damage once on the following turn | 200% extra Lancer damage |
| Dreamcatcher | Increases Lancer damage against Dream-Marked targets | 150% more damage |
| Dreamslice | Increases all friendly troops’ damage against Dream-Marked targets | 75% more damage |
These bonuses depend on the Expedition mark and its timing. They are not permanent increases against every enemy, and the four-second Star Mark from Starpaint does not become an Expedition Dream Mark. Troop turns and hero-battle seconds are different units.
Dreamcatcher and Dreamslice also have different beneficiaries. Lancers receive the class-specific effect, while the third skill benefits all friendly troop types against marked targets. Simply adding every displayed percentage into one always-on damage total would ignore those conditions.
For rally joining, Nightmare Trace is the first Expedition skill eligible for a selected support slot when Renee is the flagged lead hero. Do not assume Dreamcatcher and Dreamslice are automatically contributed with it. The rally captain’s own hero squad supplies its broader Expedition skill set, so the same hero can have a different role when leading and joining.
Illusion Magiball
Dream Illusion gives Renee’s attacks an 8% chance to confuse the target for one second at skill level 5. This is separate from Illusion Cloud’s stated confusion effect.
Wistful Enchantment increases Rally Troops’ Lethality by 15% at skill level 5. It belongs to rally combat rather than the Star Mark interactions in Arena. The weapon’s reference stats are listed separately below the regular skills.
Acquisition and reference values
Lucky Wheel is Renee’s listed acquisition route. Check which hero your state’s current event features before allocating resources. Recruitment requires 10 shards, with 1,065 more across the five promotion stages, for 1,075 from locked to five stars.
Her displayed Lancer Attack and Defense are 540.43% each. Hero and weapon figures are reference values. Compare actual skill levels and the ability to complete the mark cycle, rather than choosing from the largest percentage in isolation.
