Understanding raids in Whiteout Survival, and more specifically the Heroes and their impact on raid stats, is crucial for maximizing your chances of victory and minimizing losses in case of defeat.
The leader initiating a Raid in Whiteout Survival
Choosing the person who initiates the raid is very important because it determines how many soldiers other members will be able to contribute to the raid.

It also determines which team will receive bonuses from the Heroes.
The person initiating the raid usually selects their three strongest Heroes, whose abilities from the EXPEDITION tab (right side of the skill panel) are applied to every troop in the raid, including those of the joining members.
These are 3 characters with 3 skills each, totaling 9 bonuses that can tip the scales toward victory!

An exception is Giny, whose Expedition skills are passive, providing bonuses to march queue speed and reducing the amount of Energy consumed for various actions on the map.
Giny should be excluded from the set of Heroes chosen by the person initiating the Raid.
The best Heroes for the Raid initiator
For the person initiating a Raid in Whiteout Survival, choosing Heroes is fairly straightforward. The best choice is almost always to select the three strongest Heroes with the most well-developed skills in the EXPEDITION category!
The exceptions are characters such as:
- Giny (bonuses to march speed and reduced Energy consumption)
- Eugene (bonuses to wood production and gathering)
- Smith (bonuses to iron production and gathering)
- Cloris (bonuses to meat production and gathering)
- Charlie (bonuses to coal production and gathering)
Raid participants
As we know, the raid capacity depends on the leader. Participants should keep this in mind and reinforce the raid only with their best soldiers so that low-level troops don’t take up space that another player could fill with stronger units.
Always try to join raids with your highest-level troops.
But this is not about troops—it’s about Heroes.
For players joining a Raid, the bonuses applied to the Raid come from the Hero positioned on the left side!

Best Heroes for the first slot when ATTACKING targets
- Jessie (increases damage dealt by all Raid members’ troops)
- Jasser (increases damage dealt by all Raid members’ troops)
- Seo-yoon (increases damage dealt by all Raid members’ troops)
Best Heroes for the first slot when DEFENDING targets
- Patrick (significantly increases the HP of all allied troops)
- Sergey (reduces damage taken by allies)
- Bahiti (same as Sergey)
- Lumak Bokan (reduces enemy attack)
- Linx Xue (same as Lumak Bokan)
The other two Heroes of a player joining the Raid have no impact on the battle, with one exception: the higher the Hero’s level, the more troops can be added to the garrison.
