Description
Xura is a Generation 9 Legendary Marksman with an unusually supportive hero-battle kit: healing, damage protection and an ally-focused weapon buff. He comes from a community sheltered beneath the earth around a life-sustaining Great Tree. With that tree fading, his journey to the tundra is a search for the Fire Crystal that could save his people. His friendly curiosity and unfamiliar remedies make him more than a conventional ranged damage dealer.
Life Dance supports heroes
Life Dance heals all friendly heroes each second for three seconds. At skill level 5, each second’s healing equals 100% of Xura’s Attack. During the effect, those heroes take 50% less damage, and Xura himself is immune to control effects.
The beneficiaries are important. The healing and protection are described for friendly heroes, while control immunity belongs to Xura. This does not establish a team-wide immunity to control, an escort heal, or complete damage immunity. The healing scales from Xura’s Attack rather than the recipient’s maximum Health.
Sporebind places a three-second infection on a target. Each time that target attacks during the effect, it takes damage, reaching 140% of Xura’s Attack per trigger at skill level 5. Its trigger follows the infected enemy’s attacks, so it should not be described as a fixed once-per-second damage effect.
Numbing Dart increases Xura’s Attack by up to 12% and gives each dart a fixed 20% chance to immobilize its target for one second. The Attack bonus grows with skill level; the listed immobilization chance remains 20%.
Editorial recommendation: assess Xura by the useful time he creates for the team. Watch whether Life Dance helps damaged heroes recover and whether his chosen ally can exploit the weapon buff. A damage-only comparison can miss the protection in his kit, while a healing-only comparison can overlook Sporebind’s dependence on enemy actions.
Expedition: formation protection and Marksman support
| Skill | Scope or trigger | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Fungal Fog | All friendly troops | Up to 20% less damage taken |
| Piercing Arrow | Every two friendly Marksman attacks | Up to 100% extra damage and 25% more damage taken by the target for one turn |
| Unorthodoxy | Friendly Marksmen | More damage dealt and less damage taken; exact percentage split unconfirmed |
Piercing Arrow counts Marksman attacks, not turns. Its short vulnerability effect affects the target, while the additional attack damage belongs to the Marksmen. Fungal Fog protects the broader friendly formation and does not add a miss chance merely because its description mentions obscured vision.
Unorthodoxy supports Marksmen on both offense and defense. The exact level-by-level allocation between its two bonuses remains unconfirmed here, so check the current in-game skill before using those percentages in a comparison. The Expedition effects are separate from Life Dance’s hero healing.
Witch Mask
War Cry increases the highest-Attack ally’s damage dealt by 60% for four seconds at weapon skill level 5. Attack determines the selected ally, but the resulting bonus modifies damage dealt. It should not be assigned automatically to the lowest-Health ally or treated as a team-wide buff. No tie-break rule is assumed.
Gaiac Hymn increases Defender Troops’ Attack by 15% at skill level 5. This Expedition defender benefit does not make Life Dance a troop-healing skill. The weapon’s reference values are listed with its effects below the regular skills.
Acquisition and development
Xura’s listed acquisition routes include Hall of Chiefs, King of Icefield, State of Power and Daily Deals. Availability follows state progression and current rewards, so check the featured hero before spending. Recruitment takes 10 shards, then five promotion stages require another 1,065, totaling 1,075 from locked to five stars.
His displayed Marksman Attack and Defense are 940.75% each. Hero and weapon figures are reference values with development conditions not fully specified. Compare the skill levels and team interactions you can actually field rather than assuming these figures describe a new recruit.
