Sonya

Sonya is a Generation 8 Legendary Lancer who combines freezing technology with damage support for a troop formation. She keeps the submarine Neptune running as its chief engineer, while her partnership with Captain Hendrik serves a more personal goal: finding underwater treasure. Having lost her former royal comfort, she sees that fortune as a route back to power, not simply a reward for exploration.

Freeze one target, damage the surrounding area

Extreme Cold freezes one target for 1.5 seconds and deals area damage to that target and nearby enemies. At skill level 5, the damage coefficient is 300% of Sonya’s Attack. The area-damage component should not be mistaken for a guarantee that every nearby enemy is frozen.

Frozen Bomb directly damages one enemy and reduces nearby enemies’ Attack Speed for three seconds. The attack-speed reduction lasts longer than Extreme Cold’s freeze, but the two effects are not interchangeable: slower attacks do not mean the enemy is completely unable to act.

Editorial recommendation: when testing Sonya in Arena or Exploration, watch the main freeze target and the enemies affected by the attack-speed reduction separately. Judge whether that disruption gives your team useful time, rather than assuming all enemies receive a combined control duration.

Expedition: two attacks and five turns

Bounty Temptation counts Lancer attacks. Its short Attack bonus benefits the whole friendly formation, while its extra damage belongs to Lancers. Torrential Impact follows a five-turn cycle instead; its stun is measured in troop turns, not the 1.5 seconds used by Extreme Cold.

Treasure Hunter supplies a damage-dealt bonus, whereas Bounty Temptation supplies a temporary Attack increase. Adding every displayed percentage into one permanent damage figure would ignore both the different attributes and the separate trigger conditions.

Mangrove Frog

Chilled to the Bone increases Sonya’s Attack by 24% at weapon skill level 5. When Extreme Cold’s freezing effect ends, shattered ice deals damage equal to 70% of Attack to nearby enemies. The delayed damage is tied to the end of that specific freeze, not every attack-speed debuff or every normal hit.

Vortex Turret increases Defender Troops’ Lethality by 15% at skill level 5. This is a defender-side Expedition effect. It does not turn the Exploration ice-shatter effect into a troop-battle attack.

Acquisition and development

Sonya’s acquisition routes include Hall of Chiefs, King of Icefield, State of Power, Daily Deals and Hero Rally. Mythic General Hero Shards can be used for her development after she is summoned. Check your state’s current event or shop rewards rather than assuming every route is available at once.

Recruitment costs 10 shards. A further 1,065 are needed across the five promotion stages, making 1,075 from locked to five stars. Her displayed Lancer Attack and Defense are 780.62% each. Hero and weapon numbers are reference figures.
