Description

Molly is a Generation 1 Legendary Lancer whose snowball launcher combines damage with a short area freeze. Her biggest appeal in hero battles is the breathing room created by Super Snowball: she can interrupt a group while the rest of the team keeps attacking. In Expedition, her kit changes focus to troop damage and a chance-based defensive effect. Those are separate strengths, so a good Arena performance does not automatically make her the right rally joiner.

She is worth evaluating early because her listed shard routes include the seven-day sign-in gift, Molly’s Blessing, Lighthouse Intel, Hero Recruitment and Hall of Heroes. Availability depends on your account and state progression. Compare the shards you can obtain with the heroes you already use before committing scarce upgrade resources.

What makes Molly useful?

  • Area control: Super Snowball freezes affected enemies for 1.5 seconds as well as dealing damage. That pause can matter when your team needs time to finish a dangerous target.
  • A low-health speed boost: Youthful Persistence increases Attack Speed below 50% Health. This can help her keep dealing damage under pressure, but it is neither healing nor a reason to deliberately leave her exposed.
  • A mixed Expedition toolkit: Snow’s Grace can reduce incoming troop damage, while Ice Dominion and Youthful Rage improve damage output. The first two rely on different activation chances.

Limitations to keep in mind

  • Control belongs to hero battles: the freeze on Super Snowball does not turn Snow’s Grace into an Expedition freeze or stun.
  • Chance is not a permanent bonus: Ice Dominion has a 50% activation chance, and Snow’s Grace has a 40% chance. Their listed effect sizes are not always-on reductions or guaranteed extra damage on every attack.
  • Class and position are different: Molly is a Lancer even when a particular Arena formation places her behind sturdier heroes. Keep troop-class decisions separate from Arena positioning.

Arena, Expedition and rallies

UsePractical assessment
Arena and ExplorationTest her as a damage-and-control option with teammates that can keep the fight stable. Watch whether Super Snowball reaches useful targets and whether she survives long enough to contribute.
Leading an Expedition march or rallyEvaluate the full troop skill set and your account’s stats. Her chance-based defense and damage effects serve a different role from the Arena freeze.
Joining a rallyThe first Expedition skill of your lead hero is eligible to support the rally when you join. For Molly, that is the defensive Snow’s Grace. For a damage-focused event, follow the rally leader’s requested first-slot heroes rather than choosing Molly solely for her power.
DefendingHer exclusive weapon includes a defender-specific Lethality bonus. It applies in its stated context; do not treat it as an attack-rally bonus.

Skill development priorities

Editorial recommendation: for Arena or Exploration, Super Snowball is the natural starting point because upgrading it increases the damage of her area skill while retaining its control utility. Develop Frost Ambush and Youthful Persistence according to your fights: direct damage and conditional Attack Speed solve different problems.

For Expedition, choose your emphasis deliberately. Snow’s Grace supports damage reduction; Ice Dominion and Youthful Rage support offense. If your alliance uses specific rally-joining lineups, check those instructions before spending manuals on a role Molly will not actually fill. A higher hero power number alone is not a skill-priority plan.

Yeti Spirit: exclusive weapon

Yeti Spirit adds two distinct skill effects. Modified Launcher increases Molly’s damage dealt by 30% at skill level 5 in hero battles. Snowy Blessing raises Defender Troops’ Lethality by 15% at skill level 5 in Expedition. Keep the defender restriction attached to the second bonus when comparing equipment.

Stats and shard costs

The displayed numbers are reference values for comparison, not starting stats for a newly recruited Molly. Your results depend on development and applicable bonuses.

Recruitment costs 10 Molly shards. The five promotion rows total 1,065 more, making 1,075 from locked to five stars. The table’s individual rows are stage costs, not cumulative totals. The skill cards below keep Exploration, Expedition and equipment effects separate.
