Description
Ahmose is a Generation 4 Legendary Infantry hero built around protective windows, self-recovery and Infantry-focused troop effects. His spear and shield connect him to a clan entrusted with a living Fire Crystal. After being freed from that inherited duty, he turns the same guardian role toward new cities and their survivors.
A shield stance with a follow-up heal
Cthugha’s Protection puts Ahmose into an invulnerable stance: he cannot move or cast skills during it and is immune to control effects. Nearby allies receive damage reduction for two seconds, reaching 70% at skill level 5. Nearby matters; the description does not promise the same protection to every ally regardless of position.
Ancestral Blessing follows the use of Cthugha’s Protection, restoring Health to Ahmose each second for five seconds. The heal scales from his Attack, from 30% per second at skill level 1 to 42% at level 5. It is his recovery effect, not a second team-wide heal.
Daybreak Knife adds damage against enemies in front and makes them take 20% more damage for two seconds. The vulnerability is a damage-taken effect; it should not be rewritten as a separate numerical Defense reduction.
Editorial recommendation: watch who is actually near Ahmose when the shield activates and whether the protection window covers the pressure your team needs to survive. Compare him with Logan through those timing and coverage questions, rather than relying only on a larger generation number or reference Health total.
Viper Formation trades an attack for protection
In Expedition, Viper Formation makes Infantry forgo the next attack after every four attacks. The resulting protection lasts two turns, with separate damage-reduction values for Infantry and for Lancers/Marksmen. At level 5 those values are 70% for Infantry and 30% for the other two troop types. This is a timed cycle with an attack trade-off, not constant 70% protection for the entire army.
| Expedition skill | Offensive contribution | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Prayer of Flame | 20% to 100% more damage dealt across levels 1–5 | Infantry |
| Blade of Light | 12% to 60% extra damage per attack, plus 5% to 25% increased target damage taken for one turn | Infantry attack and its target |
The second and third skills give him offensive Infantry value alongside the protective first skill. Their percentages refer to different effects and should not simply be added into a guaranteed total march damage multiplier.
For a squad joining a rally, Viper Formation is the first Expedition skill to assess when Ahmose is the flagged lead hero. It is eligible for a selected support slot; joining does not automatically contribute Prayer of Flame and Blade of Light as well. A rally captain’s own hero squad supplies its broader Expedition skill set.
Guardian’s Relic
The exclusive weapon’s Unyielding Determination adds 42% Attack for allies under Cthugha’s Protection for 2.5 seconds at skill level 5. This follows the shield’s eligible recipients rather than establishing an unrestricted, permanent Attack aura.
Oath of Guardian increases defending troops’ Health by 15% at skill level 5. Its city-defense role is separate from the hero-battle shield and from the troop attack-cycle effect. Guardian’s Relic reference stats are listed below the normal skills.
Acquisition and reference values
King of Icefield, State of Power and Daily Deals are listed acquisition routes. Check the current event rewards in your state. Recruitment costs 10 shards, and five promotion stages require another 1,065, making 1,075 from locked to five stars.
The displayed Infantry Attack and Defense are 370.29% each. Hero and weapon stats are reference figures with development conditions not fully specified; weapon bonuses remain separate from the hero-stat panel. Build decisions should use the levels, skills and equipment you can actually field.
